Hair and Makeup Advice from the Experts

Wedding Day Hair and Makeup Tips

Tips For Looking For a New Hairstylist

Care For your Hair

Congratulations on your engagement! Here is a little advice for the bride-to-be. It is extremely important for you to get a hair and make-up practice before the big day. Schedule your trial run a few months before the wedding, that way you will have enough time to change things if you want.

Keep in mind when choosing your make-up style that you are going to be photographed. You want to have clean look, without looking washed out. Stay away from too many trends on your wedding day. Choose hair and make-up styles that are more classic and timeless. Again, think of the photos. Imagine being one of the women who had a beehive on their wedding day!

Ten Tips To Help You Control Pests Around Your Home

When looking for a new hairstylist I recommend doing the following things:

1. If you see someone and you like their hair, don't be afraid to ask them who did it. You will make that persons day and maybe get a good lead on who to go to!

2. If you want to try a new salon, but are scared they might not be the place for you, go in for a Blow Dry/Style. This way you can try out the salon for a small investment and get a feel for the stylist/salon to see if you are a match. If someone can style your hair to your satisfaction, chances are they can cut or color as well.

Care For your Hair

Healthy hair should be about choices, of course with age, horomone imbalance, medication, stress, vitamin definiecy all contribute to how much stress your hair can take. Your hair could be in a fragile state and very close to what many may call extreme damage which is balding and breakage. Therefore you as the client need to be aware of this as you go to your salon. Now this does not mean you grab the professional wheel and omit your stylist all together. Why, well just because your hair is growing and yes, it might be longer than it has ever been but that does not mean your hair is healthy. Its having the complete package and this is important because you've worked so hard to get your hair to that perfect length and you've found your signature style and guess what happens. Your hair breaks off and there you are in the mirrow again trying to figure out how did it get so bad and then we begin to make excuses: "oh that runs in my family, it just grows like that. If you know male or female pattern baldness, alopecia, runs in your family then you should be proactive then reactive and begin develping a routine to keeping your hair healthy. Hair should be shiny, it should have body, even one length strands, no matter the texture.

Common Signs for you to look for are:

If you have to spray oil sheen on your hair every day and you just can't get the shine.

Hair is shedding in long or short strands when you comb or brush. (Anything more than 50- 100 strands daily (a ball the size of a nickel.)

Hair feels hard or wirey This term does not mean texture, like coarse, meduim fine. Texture means the wave pattern of the hair.

Your hair will not hold a bend, if you wrapped your hair at night correctly and it has absolutely no curl or your curl looks stringy.

If you answered yes to these questions then you need to make sure you get protein, hydrator treatments on a regular basis this is not a regular conditioner. What makes professional products so great is that these products were specifically designed to address these issues and nothing works overnight. What makes generic products complicated is that you might be using the wrong one to address your paticular problem.
You may have more than one issue that plagues your hair. Frequency. Are you using the products long enough and often enough to see a difference.

Is your daily styling routine conflictling with care, If you are curling your hair everyday you are taking out the moisture daily, causing your product to have to work overtime. So that why you need to continue to see your stylist and if your stylist is unsure, then you may need to find a new stylist. Your hair may be beautiful when you leave but if the only way you can keep it beautiful is by gluing the style to your head with spritzs, holding sprays and gel then that's not good, NOT ALL THE TIME... However styles are personality so don't be afraid to have fun and loving your personal style.
